2025–Present— Commercial Heritage Manager

Manages the commercial pipeline and client advisory function, translating complex heritage obligations into practical solutions for development proponents. Mentors graduate staff and drives quality assurance across reports and field programs.

2023–2025   Cultural Heritage Advisor

Embedded within a major state-owned energy corporation spanning coal, gas, and renewables, was responsible for cultural heritage across CS Energy’s entire Queensland asset portfolio. Developed and implemented Cultural Heritage Management Plans, negotiated agreements with Traditional Owner parties, and ensured day-to-day field activities met Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 obligations. Played a central role in formalising the company’s approach to heritage risk and emerging renewable projects.

2022–2023 — Heritage Consultant

Delivered cultural heritage field programs and compliance advice for wind, solar, and gas infrastructure across Queensland and New South Wales. Applied GIS to systematically map survey corridors, record site locations, and build spatial datasets used in assessment reporting and proponent decision-making.

2020–2022 — Archaeologist

Fieldwork on a range of Queensland projects, including pedestrian survey and test excavation, while building relationships with Aboriginal parties. Gained early experience identifying and recording artefact scatters, stone features, and historically sensitive deposits across diverse landscapes.

Wik Waya People — Shell Mound Surveys, Cape York

Surveyed a series of large coastal shell mounds on the western Cape York Peninsula with Wik Waya representatives. Large mounds represent centuries of landscape use and hold deep cultural significance; recording work captured physical dimensions, stratigraphic observations, and community knowledge to inform heritage values assessment.

Barunggam People — Kogan Creek Mine

Provided on-the-ground heritage advice for operational and expansion activities at Kogan Creek Mine in collaboration with Barunggam People representatives. Work included pre-disturbance survey, artefact recording, and advice on managing unexpected finds, ensuring mining activities proceeded in compliance with cultural heritage obligations.

Gaangalu People — Boulder Creek Wind Farm & Callide Power Station

Worked with Gaangalu Nation People across two distinct project contexts. At Boulder Creek Wind Farm, conducted systematic pedestrian surveys of turbine pads, access tracks, and transmission corridors, with GIS-based site recording and assessment reporting. Supported the negotiation and implementation of a Cultural Heritage Management Plan, helping to formalise Gaangalu cultural heritage interests within company’s long-term site planning.

Githabul People — MacIntyre Wind Farm

Undertook heritage survey across the MacIntyre Wind Farm footprint in partnership with Githabul People representatives. Survey passed through dense remnant vegetation and previously cleared agricultural land; findings were compiled into GIS datasets and formal heritage reports used to guide infrastructure placement and management requirements.
